Mercy House is the organization that runs the Cold Weather Homeless Shelter at the Armory that I volunteer with.
I have purchased items from their wish list for Thanksgiving, and put together two baskets that will be donated to one of their families in need.
I provided two baskets each with a $15 gift card for a turkey / ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sugar, pie crust, apple pie filling, cookie mix, yams, gravy, marshmallows and green beans... plus a tray to cook the turkey in.
