Kernels of Kindness: Irvine Fire Department
Yesterday, the second Fire Station we were able to find was in Irvine, on California Ave.
This Fire Station was awesome as well... very nice Firemen... and made the driving around to the other two or three that we couldnt find not so bad.
Dropped off a goody bag with (5) $5 Starbucks gift cards, a Thank You note, some Fireman duckies, some muffins and some cookies from Costco.
Like I told both Fire Stations yesterday, if I had baked, they would not have wanted to eat the goodies.

Kernels of Kindness: Hoag Cancer Center
Yesterday, we stopped by the Hoag Cancer Center in Newport Beach. What a gorgeous view this hospital has of the beach. Wow.
Again, I had asked a few months ago for a recommendation of a great local nurse... and was given a charge nurse named Sue. We headed into the Cancer Center, not knowing if they would be "open" on a Sunday... and the front desk sign pointed us to an area where patients were having treatment, so I waited at that front desk for a bit until I saw a nurse. Sue was not working, so I left the little gift bag for her, and on the way out grabbed a Good Luck Bird... how awesome that a patient made these for people to take for luck. I left mine in my car... being that I could probably use the most luck there ;)

Happy Birthday To Me: Please do a Random Act of Kindness
Last year, for my 40th birthday, I asked everyone to do a Random Act of Kindness in my honor... and I wanted to get 40 done in the month of November.
My friends, family, and their friends and family knocked it out of the park! I got over 250 RAOKs done in honor of my 40th birthday.
So, its that time again.
November 27th I will be 41. (OUCH)
This time, I am asking for 41 different people to do a RAOK in honor of my 41st birthday, during the month of November.

Kernels of Kindness: Newport Beach Fire Department
There is something about GPS and Fire Departments.
A lot of times, the GPS takes me to a Fire House, that flat out doesn't exist. Today was one of those days....
The third, maybe even fourth we tried, we finally found a Fire Station. And I have to tell you... it was the best Fire Station I have ever done a RAOK for. The guys were just awesome.
I can't bake, and I wouldn't really expect someone to eat cookies from a stranger... so we stopped at Costco, expecting to pick up a big cookie tray, and they didn't have any.
I ended up with some kind of pumpkin something or other muffins and some chocolate chip cookies... Hopefully they were still good. I also did 5 Starbucks gift cards for $5 each, so more people could enjoy them, instead of just one.
The Firemen at the Newport Beach Fire Department on Santa Barbara Drive... I hope you enjoyed the cookies and muffins, and Thank You for your AWESOME energy and all of your waves as we drove away... and most of all for all you do!
Seriously? I get so nervous doing these, I always make the most awkward poses for pictures! LOL
