"My day today! Decided to see what came up and make it really a random act of kindness. Was surprised at how hard my heart was pounding when I felt it was "the moment" to act. I was at the grocery store and there was a young mom with her two really young children in line right before me. I whispered to the cashier that I wanted to pay for her food along with mine and then acted like nothing happened. It was fun! Happy Birthday, Angie!!!!!"

November is Homeless Awareness Month: 30 Days, 30 Ways Kickoff Event
November is Homeless Awareness Month.
I will be following Mercy House and their 30 Days, 30 Ways calendar, posting daily and doing what I can. I hope you will join me in some of the events as well. I will blog daily.
They are starting 2 days early....
Tonight is a kick off event:
Halloween Party and Awareness Event
Join us for a night of food, games, prizes, and fun as we kick off our annual Homeless Awareness Month.

The event will be hosted by FLOC who will support Mercy House as their feature charity of the night. You will learn about ways to engage in the issue of homelessness and volunteer at Mercy House.
Make sure to come dressed in costume!
